Datalogics has released Bookvia for Android, a new mobile reading solution integrated with Sony DADC’s User Rights Management Solution. Bookvia, an eReader app, designed to support major DRM systems, available on both Android and iOS allows users to consolidate their electronic publications in one application. Bookvia offers users a powerful and engaging reading experience, and enables stores to streamline content delivery to the reader through a common bookshelf.

“The ability to quickly create new business models is key for enterprises to differentiate and remain competitive in today’s rapidly changing market. Our collaboration with Datalogics, leveraging our User Rights Management Solution, provides the tools that online retailers and libraries need to service their customers today and in the future,” comments Spiros Rally, VP of DigitalWorks, Sony DADC.

“We are thrilled to announce the launch of the Bookvia app on Android because it supports our efforts to be able to provide a complete solution for the URMS ecosystem.” said Ching Yue, Product Manager for eBook technologies at Datalogics. “This launch is significant for the URMS market. We can now support more than 95% of users in the mobile segment, and we are excited at the prospect of helping our customers build solutions that can deliver content to readers around the world.”

Bookvia, along with the Sony DADC User Rights Management Solution, offers content licensing for the modern world. The flexible licensing options provide a new way to offer access to content that meets the demand of today’s users with many ways to offer books.
