Meta CEO Tackles EIDR Workflows at May 12 HITS Spring

On May 12 at the Hollywood Innovation and Transformation Summit (HITS) Spring event Robin Tucker, CEO of Meta Data Systems, will share insights into how the Meta EIDR matching and registration module turbocharges the EIDR workflows of the world’s largest studios and broadcasters.

The presentation — “Turbocharging EIDR Workflows, Today and into the Future” — will look ahead to upcoming advancements that will enable matching of entire shows, seasons and episodes, all with simple tools to reconcile where sequencing may vary between the source and destination catalogues.

“The definitive root of best-practice title management and metadata enrichment is having a unique and authoritative ID that everything else hangs off. Without this foundational element, the process becomes ambiguous and inconsistent,” Tucker said. “During the session, we will walk through some of today’s common supply chain processes, and underline the important role that EIDR plays in the efficient lifecycle of entertainment titles.

“We will demonstrate Meta’s advanced EIDR integration that automates and turbocharges the matching and registration processes, and look forwards to some upcoming features that workaround some of the challenges customers face with conflicting house & EIDR running orders.”

Richard Kroon, director of technical operations for EIDR, added: “For EIDR identification to be a success, it needs to be incorporated into mission-critical systems and included in supply chain workflows. When that can be done seamlessly and conveniently, then everyone wins.”
