BTI Studios Names Gregory CEO (MESA)

BTI Studios’ founder and CEO Björn Lifvergren is stepping down from his post and transitioning to the company’s board of directors, with BTI naming industry vet Shaun Gregory as its new CEO, the company announced Aug. 21.

“Since I founded BTI, I’ve taken great pride in creating and cultivating strong customer partnerships, which has enabled consistent growth and the ability to thrive in an industry that is constantly changing. This would not have been possible without the commitment of BTI’s truly amazing staff. They always do their utmost to make the customers’ wishes come true and this will continue to be the case as we take BTI forward,” Lifvergren said. “With new, well-backed owners and a solid growth plan for BTI in place, this is the perfect time for me to pass the baton to Shaun, who I have every confidence will build on our many successes and take this company to even greater heights. I look forward to continuing to support and build BTI in my new role.”

Gregory brings more than 20 years’ experience in media, content and advertising to the role, most recently serving as CEO of Exterion Media, Europe’s largest privately-owned advertising company. Before there, he was global head of advertising for Telefonica.

“I am excited to take on this role at BTI, particularly with digital media distribution’s rapid growth due to the ever-increasing demand, consumption and accessibility of new content on a worldwide basis,” Gregory said. ”I look forward to continuing BTI’s global expansion”.

Henrik Borelius, chairman of BTI’s board of directors, added: “Björn Lifvergren has led BTI through a remarkable transformation for 23 years, from being a local subtitling company to a multinational industry leader providing a full range of localization services such as dubbing, subtitling and audio description to most major content holders and platforms globally.

The Board of Directors wants to express its sincere gratitude for Björn’s leadership and entrepreneurship throughout these years. Shaun’s appointment and Björn’s continued engagement is nothing short of a complete win for BTI that marries global business experience with tremendous institutional and industry knowledge. We look forward to working with Shaun, Björn and the entire team at BTI to continue its growth and success well into the future.”
