MicroStrategy: How to Accelerate Productivity with Library, HyperIntelligence

MicroStrategy Library and HyperIntelligence can each be used to accelerate and maximize productivity within an organization, according to MicroStrategy.

All users within an organization can be disruptors and that starts with the democratization of data made possible by MicroStrategy Library., the company pointed out during the webinar “Accelerate Productivity with Library & HyperIntelligence.”

MicroStrategy Library is a web-based application that allows users to view, present and analyze dossiers or documents added to their Library.

The application includes the infrastructure needed to support each new dossier or document that is shared with users so that application developers only need to focus on creating robust analytic applications once that can be consumed across any client interface, according to MicroStrategy.

Library also uses an on-demand form of application deployment.

As such, changes made by dossier or document authors are quickly reflected in each user’s Library without any additional action that needs to be taken by the content consumer, MicroStrategy says.

The webinar explored, among other things, how to take an organization’s operations to the next level with contextual insights in favorite applications based on keywords matches, and how to leverage the latest Library features effectively and drive impact at an organization.

Asked about the latest projects he’s been working on, Jose Nocedal, SVP and head of product management at MicroStrategy, said: “I’ve been leading the engineering teams, working on Library, working on Hyper” and more, including “some of the exciting Microsoft 365 integrations that we announced” at the recent MicroStrategy World conference in Orlando, Florida. He’s also working on some of the artificial intelligence (AI) of “common functionality that we’re going to have on the platform that we also shared at World.”

Meanwhile, Holly Stevens, MicroStrategy senior product marketing manager, spends a lot of time “working with the product teams to understand what they’re building,” she said. A lot of that now includes a focus on MicroStrategy’s go-to-market strategy nowadays [and] thinking about how we’re going to position AI and analytics, and how MicroStrategy is at the intersection of [what is] pretty exciting stuff happening behind the scenes,” she noted, adding: “You’ll start to see a lot hit the market [in] a few months.”

Turning to HyperIntelligence, Nocedal said that, at World, it was “really exciting to see the latest examples that our customers showed implementing HyperIntelligence” and “how easy it was, within a few minutes, once you determine what is that information that you want to surface to your users … create the cards and, just with that, increase your productivity [and] make any application faster and surface that information to your users.”

So “what is HyperIntelligence?” he asked.

“It’s the simplest form of embedded that allows you to give any application or surface the information that you have … through any website that you have, any web application that you have. And it’s basically allowing you to make decisions faster. So everything about HyperIntelligence is about how do we increase productivity. So, instead of me having sometimes to go into a deep analysis of logging into my analytics portal, running a specific object, filtering the data and get to my answer, with Hyper, I’m just navigating the page, the web application, the website and then, just with the information that is surfaced to me, I can make those decisions.”

He moved on to three key details about HyperIntelligence: smarter apps, faster actions and trusted information.

First, he explained, “any application, any web application that you have access to, becomes smarter, just with HyperIntelligence…. Because of that, you can increase your productivity [and] make faster decisions. And, not only that, but you can also take action based on the data that is surfaced to you.”

Then he moved on to what he called his “favorite topic”: “Everything about security. So Hyper is only surfacing all the power that is part of the MicroStrategy platform [and] all the information that is surfaced to you is coming from a single version of the truth “powered by the same semantic graph and is powered by the same governance and security capabilities that we have” in the MicroStrategy platform.
